Job description:

The Senior Manager – Environmental Noise provides strategic leadership for the Environmental Noise Branch, overseeing the delivery of high-level technical expertise and best practice regulatory guidance. As the department’s head of discipline, the role brings extensive subject matter expertise and strong leadership capability, directing contemporary, evidence based environmental acoustic science and ensuring integration with broader statutory processes.

As a recognised technical expert, you will represent the Branch across government and external forums, build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and prepare high level reports, briefings and publications for ministerial, corporate and academic purposes. You will ensure effective systems, processes and quality assurance mechanisms are in place to support efficient program delivery and contemporary regulatory practice.

A key responsibility includes leading workforce capability development, coaching and mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and technical excellence. Additional duties may be assigned in line with departmental requirements and the scope of the position.

The position is based in Perth; however, suitably qualified applicants from regional Western Australia, interstate and New Zealand are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

We are seeking multiple permanent Lead Registry Officers!

The Lead Registry Officer is responsible for leading and supporting a team to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with organisational goals.

This role provides day-to-day oversight, guidance, and coaching to ensure effective performance and professional development. The Lead Registry Officer monitors workloads, allocates resources to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and responds to demand surges.

Job description:

We are looking for trusted professionals to assess complex licensing and registration applications and deliver fair, evidence based outcomes.

About the Role:

We are seeking 1 fixed term until May 2027 and multiple permanent Senior Advisors.

As a Senior Advisor, Complex Cases, you will play a key role in the assessment and determination of complex and escalated licensing and registration applications within the Building and Plumbing Commission.

Working within the Licensing and Registration business unit, you will apply your strong regulatory judgement and legislative expertise to review applications, exercise delegated decision‑making authority and support fair, consistent and defensible outcomes under the Building Act 1993 and related frameworks.

In this role, you will manage sensitive matters, prepare detailed correspondence and recommendations and work closely with technical specialists, decision makers and stakeholders across the organisation. You will also contribute to the development and continuous improvement of operational policy, processes and quality assurance frameworks, supporting the Commission's role as a trusted and effective regulator.

The work that the Senior Lawyer in the RSHQ Legal team will undertake involves:

  • conducting complex litigation, representing RSHQ at coronial inquests, providing quality advice to internal stakeholders

  • advising on commercial matters and workplace matters

  • providing authoritative advice on administrative law and regulatory matters generally and conducting training and development

  • delivering educational materials to internal staff and stakeholders.

The team also provides legal representation where RSHQ may be a party to coronial inquests.

Job description:

The Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) is seeking a Senior Advisor, Regulatory Capability to support the engagement and development of regulatory practitioners across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Reporting to the Head, National Regulators Community of Practice, you will develop and implement initiatives to support membership growth, improve member services, and address opportunities for custom programs and solutions. Your role will be pivotal in building productive relationships with key partners, gathering market intelligence, and ensuring the successful delivery of regulatory capability programs.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • An applicable tertiary qualification with three years’ subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training

  • Experience working in a regulatory agency and/or knowledge of regulation (desirable)

  • Experience with managing members in a members based organisation (desirable)

  • Strong understanding of how to build sector capability

  • Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
